Thus far, it has been confirmed that Wii will be able to play NES, SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis, TurboGrafx 16 and N64 games, which will be downloadable for a fee through the Internet through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Nintendo is calling this service the Virtual Console. Nintendo will also launch a new service called WiiConnect24, which will offer game updates and downloadable demos for Wii and possibly Nintendo DS even while the machine is powered off. Wii will also be backward compatible with GameCube discs, and will boast a "docking station" for GameCube accessories. Wii was originally confirmed to be able to play DVDs with a separate attachment but this feature has recently been removed from official documentation. Wii will also wirelessly interface with the Nintendo DS in some way. Also confirmed is that the back of the console will have two USB ports, a first for a Nintendo Console. 2ff7e9595c
